West End House is a contemporary gallery in the beautiful village of Smarden. We show a wide range of original artworks, including paintings, prints, ceramics, jewellery and glass. It is run by two (over) enthusiastic local artists, Karen Papworth and Patricia Hawkins.

We host four or five themed exhibitions a year and, in between, we have an eclectic mixed display showcasing work by our gallery artists and makers. Our aim is to make the gallery space a friendly and stimulating environment with inspiring work, at all prices.

As well as the artwork on show, we have publications to view and leaflets and information about events and shows. You can also pick up a copy of the Wealden Times magazine each month as we are now an official distributor.

We welcome everybody to our gallery. It is fully accessible to people with disabilities, including wheelchair users.

Opening times: Thursday to Monday, 10am-5pm.

From Thursday 12th December we will be open every day 10am-5pm. Christmas Eve 10am-3pm.

We'll then take a week break and so the gallery will re-open on Thursday 16th January 2020.
